Hallo folks, long time no see. Thought I'd finally get into the forums and have a look at the grisly innards of the game's development. It's looking hella slick, I hope things go smoothly for ye.
I have a (admittedly selfish, because I own one) question though. Touch screen monitors: Are they common enough for you to consider supporting some time in the future, once the game proper is completed? I've been looking at the Engineering-focused devlog and thinking about the way all the Star Trek folks operated their consoles and the like (obligatory attached pic) and maybe it's just the painkillers I've been taking but it seemed awesome.
Anyway. It's all looking very interesting so far, and I'll be particularly interested in the Science/Comms role when you get around to it (Spock fantasies a-go-go!).

I'm one step ahead of you, the UIs are already touch enabled. :)
Touch has always been a key part of the design for me, though a mouse will work perfectly too.
Science is a while off yet, but I think you will love it. Not only is there an in depth scanning system, inspired by modern submarine systens, there is also information warfare, including hacking into stations and communication arrays. The key to that is doing it without giving your own position and information away.

Hi all, sorry for the absence, it is festival season and I work in events so busiest time of the year for me. Love the idea of touch screen support, feel sad that I literally just sold my laptop that had a touchscreen. :(

It was a crap laptop so mot fussed, prefer my alienware hands down.
